"Do you have a free week in Yucatán? We'll help you create the perfect experience for you! Explore Progreso, Mérida, Acanceh, Valladolid, and the famous Paseo de Montejo."

Monday

If you're in our lands this month, there's more than a 50% chance you'll get to experience Carnaval here. Check out this year's events schedule to join in the activities. If they don't align with your stay, consider a relaxing day of sun and beach in Progreso, where you can try delicious meals at Mobula, Crabster, or La Casa del Pastel.

Tuesday

In Mérida, today you can visit some of the museums that make the city great: Palacio Cantón, Casa Museo Montejo 495, Palacio de la Música, and Gran Museo del Mundo Maya are just a few options. Seize the day to try some of the options that Corredor Gastronómico 47 has for you.

Wednesday

Visit the exhibition "The Pride of African Heritage" at SoHo Galleries or at Teatro Peón Contreras, and then enjoy the video mapping "Diálogos del Conquistador" at the Casa Montejo museum, in front of Plaza Grande. End the night by visiting Murciégalo Mezcalería and trying some of the creations of chef mixologist Jorge Manzanilla.

Thursday

Today, we're going to visit the town of Acanceh (pronounced Ah-kan-kay) and its archaeological sites; there, you can rent a bicycle (or if you prefer, hire an ATV tour) to explore the surroundings. If you're taking a tour, it's a good idea to book in advance.

Head to Tekit to buy traditional clothing, and then make your way to Destino Mío by AKEN Soul to spend a day (and a night) reconnecting and finding yourself or your companions; you'll rarely see the stars as clearly as there. During the day, make sure to take a dip in cenote Emil and take a tour of the orchard; you won't regret it.

Saturday

On the way to Valladolid, don't forget to stop by the town of Tiholop to visit its community museum; remember, it's a good idea to call ahead to make sure they can receive you. Once in the Sultana of the East, visit Choco-Story and Museo de Ropa Étnica de México; in the evening, attend the video mapping "Noches de la Heroica Valladolid," and when it's over, have a craft beer at Idilio.

Sunday

Finish the week with a different experience through the Xocen Birding Trail. A few minutes from Valladolid, you can spot a huge variety of birds and, if you wish, participate in a workshop on traditional Maya food preparation in a Píib or underground oven; both experiences are highly recommended. Make sure to book in advance.
