ki’XOCOLATL started as a modest yet passionate endeavor: selling chocolate truffles for social events like weddings and parties. Over time, the founders decided to take a step further and establish ki’XOCOLATL as a tribute to the rich Maya cultural heritage (Ki’ means “delicious” in Maya). The founders have dedicated themselves to preserving and celebrating the ancestral tradition of cacao, rooted in this civilization.

Over the years, ki’XOCOLATL has grown and evolved, setting up a factory where ingredients from various regions of México are blended to create chocolates that capture the essence of the country in every bite.

From the salt of Quintana Roo to the chili of Chiapas, each piece is a delicious celebration of México’s rich culinary traditions.

Plus, their partnership with small cacao producers in southeastern and southwestern México, along with their collaboration with the Cacao-Trace organization, ensures sustainable practices and fair trade that support local communities.

For more than a decade, through the 'Plantación Ticul' project, Ki’Xocolatl has helped replant over 120,000 criollo cacao trees in the Maya jungle, breathing new life into cacao cultivation in Yucatán.

Innovation and creativity in every bite

At ki’XOCOLATL, it’s not just about quality; innovation and creativity are at the heart of what they do. Their recent collaboration with Donia Way brought to life a special collection that celebrates Yucatán’s vibrant culture. Bold flavors based on local delicacies like cochinita pibil, coconut tostadas, and poc chuc not only reflect local culinary traditions but also turn every bite into an experience that captures the Yucatecan spirit in its most delicious form.
