If, like me, you're a fan of good food and enjoy treating yourself every now and then, you need to get ready to attend one of the most important culinary events in southeastern México: the Yucatán Food Fest by Club Sibarita. As its name suggests, Club Sibarita (loosely, epicurean club) is a group that brings together food lovers. The club organizes various monthly events, ranging from casual taco tastings to refined wine-pairing dinners. While many events are open to the public, being a member of Club Sibarita gives you access to exclusive events and special prices on many others.
Whether you're a club member or not, the most anticipated event organized by Sibarita is, without a doubt, the Yucatán Food Fest. Now a tradition in our state, this festival brings together the most outstanding chefs, mixologists, and sommeliers not only from the Península but from all over the country, in a series of events you won’t want to miss. The Art of Fine Dining x Yucatán Food FestThe first is a dinner event called The Art of Fine Dining. True to its name, this event is a high-end wine-pairing dinner where you can enjoy the best of haute cuisine, brought to your table by what is usually an outstanding team of culinary stars, in a luxurious setting.

But the star of the Sibarita Food Fest is definitely their Taste the Best evening. This event is a “macro-tasting” where what seems like endless restaurants, bars, cafes, bakeries, ice cream shops, wineries, breweries, and everything imaginable showcase their creations for attendees to try.
The party usually starts at 8 pm, when Residencial Altozano (on the Mérida - Progreso highway) opens its doors to welcome guests. The event runs on an open schedule, so there's no need to arrive right on time or leave at any specific hour. The entire evening happens in a relaxed, festive atmosphere with a live DJ and a great vibe. Given the timing, it’s not exactly a child-friendly event, but the reality is that if you want to expand your little ones' culinary horizons, this is a great opportunity to do so. If Taste the Best sounds like a fun family outing, don't miss out—kids under 7 get in for free.
What does the Taste the Best event by Club Sibarita include?
The wide variety of establishments participating in this event guarantees that you’ll find everything in the tastings: from traditional frozen treats to shrimp skewers; from bakery items to chapulines (fried grasshoppers); from aguas frescas to signature cocktails. It’s a perfect opportunity to try things you might never otherwise dare to, explore new culinary proposals, and discover new products and places, all in one place.
Your ticket to Taste the Best includes everything you want to try, and trust me, you’ll want to try it all. I recommend taking it slow to make the most of the night. My experience is that Taste the Best is best enjoyed in a group, not only for the opportunity to enjoy a different kind of outing, but also to exchange opinions and debate on which tastings were each person's favorite. If your group of friends is anything like mine, the conversation will surely be long and lively. Throughout the evening, a group of judges will also make their picks to award the "Best of the Best" at the end of the night. Who in your group will have predicted this year’s winner?
Get Your Tickets for Taste the Best 2025
If you're ready for this culinary party, make sure to save the date: Friday, March 21. Tickets are already available, and you’re still in time to take advantage of the presale: during February, you can buy your tickets for just $800 pesos per person; from March 1st to 20, tickets will cost $1,000 pesos, and, at the door, you’ll pay $1,500 pesos per person.
