PlayCity Casino: Fun Returns to Mérida
After a few years of absence, PlayCity Casino is back in the city. It recently opened its doors in Mérida’s Norte, right across from Siglo XXI Convention Center. Even though I’m not someone who usually visits casinos, I decided to stop by for a fun night out and to see what it’s all about.
The experience started off great with a friendly valet who took care of my car upon arrival and the welcoming staff at the security checkpoint. With my new membership card issued and topped up, all that was left to do was test my luck.
PlayCity Casino: Top-notch facilities
The first thing that struck me was the lively atmosphere—it was impossible not to get swept up in the excitement of ringing slot machines and the smiles of people around me enjoying themselves. Groups of friends celebrated small wins, raised their glasses in cheers, and some even danced along to live music. 
It’s easy to get into the groove, thanks to the brand-new facilities and a vast array of slot machines. The machines are spacious, state-of-the-art with touchscreens, and each offers its unique style and theme—from ancient Egyptian adventures to fantasy worlds filled with dragons and treasures. This variety makes it exciting to try your luck on different games, as there’s always something to catch your eye.
The layout of the machines is another highlight, as the spacing allows each player to enjoy privacy and comfort, something I really appreciated. And speaking of comfort—the chairs are so cozy, I felt like I could sit there all night! PlayCity is a casino that truly stands out for its attention to detail.
Outstanding service at PlayCity Casino
Another highlight of PlayCity Casino was the exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed, with complimentary drinks and snacks offered right away. The number of servers was impressive, and their attention to detail was top-notch. What stood out most was their attentiveness—no matter how many times I switched machines, they always managed to find me and bring my drinks and snacks to wherever I was seated. The casino also offers an intriguing mixology menu with cocktails to suit every palate, each seemingly crafted to perfectly complement the experience. The snacks, like peanuts and fries, were the ideal companions for a fun, relaxed evening.
Dining options at PlayCity Casino
After trying out various machines in the non-smoking area, my friends and I decided to take a break and sample the offerings at their restaurant. It did not disappoint! The food was delicious and perfect for sharing. The menu is diverse, featuring options like salads, tacos, burgers, and more, with dishes suitable for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I tried the fettuccine arrabbiata and a cold-cuts pizza—both were absolutely flavorful. Most dishes are priced between $100 and $200 pesos, which I found to be excellent value for money.

Before leaving, I learned about their rewards program, which offers perks like complimentary food and drinks, extra game points, free plays, and raffle entries, along with other rewards and promotions. Be sure to sign up when you visit, as the more you play, the higher your chances of leveling up. We’re definitely feeling motivated to return soon!
