Cerveza Nicté: Signature Craft Beer with a Peninsular Flavor
In Yucatán, there is always that moment of the day—that hour when the sun seems to melt everything—when nothing quenches your thirst or soothes the heat quite like an ice-cold beer. Just one sip allows the body to relax, the spirit to refresh, and suddenly, you feel the desire to live again.
While mass-produced beers certainly serve their purpose, there is something special about a true craft beer: a flavor born of patience and care that lets you appreciate the work behind every sip. Cerveza Nicté has successfully carved out a space in this landscape, prioritizing quality, innovation, and the pride of proving that Yucatán can compete on a global scale.
More Than Craft: Signature Brewing

Visiting the Cerveza Nicté plant in Ciudad Industrial is far more than just peeking into a factory; it's a full-fledged brewing tour. The experience behind this explanatory tour is designed for those who enjoy discovering what goes into a great beer, seeing firsthand how grain transforms into that first cold drink, and, of course, enjoying a delicious beer right on site.
During the tour (which can only be done with advance reservation), you will learn about every step of the process: from selecting raw materials and milling the grain to temperature and pH control during mashing, boiling with hops, fermentation, and cold maturation. Everything happens amidst the sounds of machinery and the aroma of roasted grain, making it clear that while the process is artisanal, it’s also signature brewing—highly automated but supervised with precision. This shows that "craft" doesn't mean improvised; everything is rigorously overseen, because quality is, without a doubt, Nicté's main ingredient.
From Malt to Glass: The Brewery Tour
At the beginning of the tour, you are served a Nicté Lager, a clear, light Mexican Lager style beer, perfect for accompanying the explanation and, more importantly, for cooling down from the Yucatecan heat. After hearing about how Nicté Beers are made, the different kinds of beer they make, the guided tasting, and pairing suggestions, the tour concludes in their Beer Garden, a relaxed space where you can sample more styles and discuss what you’ve learned. It’s the kind of visit that makes it evident that behind every beer, there is as much technical skill as there is passion.
Flavors That Awaken the Senses

This is the space where flavor exploration truly begins. Nicté's catalog is varied, featuring distinct presentations and strong personality.
The Nicté IPA, golden with a tropical bitterness, awakens the senses with citrus notes of local bitter orange. Next is the Nicté Lager, inspired by the peninsular sun, and the Nicté Stout, a Tropical Stout style with hints of cacao, artisanal coffee, and a citrus finish.
They have also gained ground with special editions like the Bikini Stout, brewed with local cacao and vanilla. Nicté Beer have already won several awards, even internationally: the Bikini Stout won the gold medal at the Copa Cervecera del Pacífico; in the Copa Quetzal in Guatemala in 2025, the Bikini Stout won gold and the Nicté Stout won bronze.
And beer lovers should definitely not miss out on the Cuban Bock, a coppery lager blended with rum, specifically conceived to highlight the Caribbean essence that connects so well with our region. These are complemented by new creations like the Nicté Vienna, a medium-light body with soft caramel notes, and the Nicté Dunkel, dark and malty, with hints of toasted bread, chocolate, and dried fruits. Each style reflects the care, creativity, and passion of its creators: here, beer is not just brewed; it is conceived as a true author's work.
