Menta & Rosa: A Charming Culinary Journey
Four years ago, in the heart of Mérida, a magical spot opened its doors: a fantasy in shades of pink with mint green accents and an atmosphere reminiscent of charming Parisian cafés. Today, we celebrate not only its anniversary but also the culinary journey that has shaped its story, a delightful experience where exquisite flavors, warm service, charming details, and original menus come together. All of this has made Menta & Rosa a true local icon.
A fairytale spot in Mérida’s Centro
Specializing in breakfast, brunch, and lunch, Menta & Rosa is located at Calle 56 #422 x 45 y 47, Centro, just a few steps away from Paseo de Montejo. From the very beginning, this picturesque place has won over countless hearts. Its unique aesthetic catches the eye at first glance.
It’s easy to spot: look for a little pink house with a mint-green stripe, a small bench to the side, a white door under a charming awning, and more recently, a vintage VW Beetle painted in the café’s signature colors and logo parked right at the entrance. Step inside, and you’ll feel like you’ve entered a fairytale: every corner is postcard-worthy, with tables and chairs in matching colors, decorations shaped like teddy bears, bunnies, and flowers, heartfelt phrases like “Hope everything turns out beautiful today, just like you” and even decorative pink phone booths.
A menu that wins over every palate
Every bite at Menta & Rosa delights even the most discerning palate. The menu changes throughout the day and offers something for everyone:
For breakfast, you can choose from chilaquiles, eggs in various styles, waffles, pancakes, croissants, sandwiches, and sweet pastries–all accompanied by a great selection of hot and cold coffee.
Not a morning person? No problem! Brunch is a great option to enjoy with friends. Or you can come for a tasty lunch, with specialties like pasta, burgers, huevos motuleños, or their always-reliable chilaquiles. For starters, you’ll find options like esquites, guacamole, or fries.
As for drinks, the menu ranges from coffee and tea to natural fruit waters, milkshakes, and house specialties like hibiscus with strawberry, pink lemonade, mimosas, or the adorable brunitos, served in little bear-shaped cups.
A delicious (and very Instagram-friendly) experience
Dining at Menta & Rosa is an experience in itself. If we had to sum it up in two words: delicious and Instagrammable. Tip: Make sure your phone has enough memory, because you’ll want to snap photos of everything.
Prices are reasonable considering the experience: food ranges from $100 to $300 pesos, and drinks from $45 to $200 pesos. Trust us, every flavor, texture, and detail is worth it.
Brunito Bakery: Sweetness in every bite
In addition to its main menu, Menta & Rosa is home to a charming little project called Brunito Bakery: a bakery led by its adorable mascot, Bruno, a pink teddy bear who wins everyone over at first glance. But don’t be fooled by his looks: Bruno really knows how to bake!
Among his specialties are the tiramisu croissants (an absolute must-try) and cookies with a variety of toppings. You can find them on the menu or right at the counter, ready to become your next favorite craving. And here’s some good news: an independent Brunito Bakery location is coming soon. But that’s a story for another day.
A special occasion? This is the place
Whether you're celebrating a birthday, a special date, or you're just a brunch lover, Menta & Rosa is the perfect place for it. Its combination of ambiance, flavor, and charm makes it truly unforgettable.
Tip: If you plan to visit Menta & Rosa on a weekend, make a reservation in advance. Breakfast and brunch hours fill up quickly.
Anyways, now all you have to do is to enjoy and keep celebrating these delicious first years of Menta & Rosa, bringing color and joy to our days.
