Throughout May, Festival de las Aves Toh continues with a diverse program of activities across the state, designed for both beginners and experienced birdwatchers.
On May 3, a birdwatching outing will take place at Hacienda Kankabal, which will also host the Birdwatching Level Two Workshop on May 14 and 15. On May 9, two events are scheduled: Birds at the MAPSA quarry and Celebrating Migratory Birds in El Cuyo.
On May 15, the Yumtsil Birdwatching Walk will be held at Parque Ecológico Metropolitano del Sur Yumtsil, followed by the Urban Bird Detectives workshop on May 17 at Rancho San Miguel.
On May 22, the Alas Silvestres Festival will take place at Parque Zoológico del Centenario. From May 22 to 29, the Birds of Celestún Drawing Contest will be held at Parque Ecoturístico Jaltun.
Additional activities include Feathered Tenants on May 23 at Jardín Botánico Regional Roger Orellana, a birdwatching route from Mérida to Sisal and Hunucmá on May 24, and a children’s birdwatching workshop on May 29 at Parque Ecoturístico Jaltun.
