Celebration: that’s exactly what’s on our mind this month. January 15 marks Yucatán Today’s 33 birthday, and we are so grateful for the continued opportunity to show travelers our state. Creating a new magazine each month isn’t always easy, but over the years we’ve been fortunate to have an incredible family of staff, contributing writers, advertisers, and of course, many wonderful readers from around the globe! Because of this collection of people, we can continue doing what we love even through hard times. To begin this issue’s festivities, we discuss some classic Yucatecan flavors, revisit Mérida’s Centro Histórico, learn about some of the most representative examples of Maya revival architecture, go to the Museo de la Canción Yucateca, and to stop by your local Tiendita. Also, Ralf rounds up five foodie destinations in Yucatán, and the read could not be more delectable. This month, we raise our glass to you - thank you for being a part of Yucatán Today.
