As part of World Book Day 2026, the Manuel Cepeda Peraza Library is hosting a full day of activities celebrating books and language.
Starting at 9 am, the program includes a guided visit, bilingual reading, and a Maya language workshop and donation activity featuring Fidencio Briceño Chel. From 4 pm onward, visitors can explore a book exchange and sale with participation from local publishers.
At 5 pm, the books Ki'imak Ólolal. Alegría and Saajakil will be presented with Deira Jiménez and Fidencio Briceño Chel. Later, at 6 pm, the talk The Book and Its Edges: Processes and Types of Publishing will bring together several independent publishing projects.
The day will close at 7:30 pm with the presentation Jach Yucatecas, wrapping up a diverse celebration of literature.
