Mérida always has something to offer when it comes to culture, and the Olimpo Season is a great example. This program, organized by the Mérida City Council, has been running for over 10 years, bringing artistic and cultural activities to different venues, mainly the Olimpo Cultural Center. Many events are free, and when there’s an admission fee, the proceeds go directly to the artists.
This June, enjoy "Proudly Yucatecan: Las Trovadoras del Mayab", a family-friendly concert featuring trova and jarana at Centro Cultural Olimpo. General admission is $100 pesos. Children, students, and INAPAM members pay $50 pesos, and people with disabilities pay $25 pesos.
