From March 13 to 28, the gallery located in the alley of the Teatro José Peón Contreras will host the exhibition “The Personal Made Visual”, organized by the Secretaría de la Cultura y las Artes de Yucatán. The show brings together works in painting, printmaking, photography, textile, and video.
The exhibition explores themes of body, territory, and memory through the perspectives of women artists working in Yucatán. Participating artists include Aimée Us Mateo, Alexa Torre, Andrea Pasos, Andy Moca, Astrid Castillo, Dia Pacheco, Gerda Gruber, Karen Kantún, Mara Sánchez Renero, Marian Rodríguez, Melissa Gabriela A.C. “MeGa”, Mishell Calderón, Neyval, Ruanda Núñez, Samia Farah, Sara Durán, Sofía Basulto, Valeria CC, Verónica Rodríguez, Yoyosie, Yukari Uzeta, and Yuriria Osorio.
The opening will take place on March 13 at 7 pm. The exhibition will be on view from March 13 to 28, Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 am to 5 pm.
