As part of the 8th Casa Tanicho International Monologue Festival, within Mérida Fest 2026, don’t miss The Night Doll by Colombia-based Fantasmágora Teatro. The performance takes place on January 16 at 8 pm at the Casa Tanicho Cultural Center.
Set in 1980s Bogotá, the play follows a woman living on the city’s margins as she revisits the memory of a singular man: a client whose poetry left a lasting mark on her life. Through longing and remembrance, Esperanza—a name that may or may not be real—embodies the hope of one day encountering her poet again.
Free admission.
