From October 7 to 24, head to the Alianza Francesa Mérida Gallery for Que Nadie Duerma, a French painting exhibition that brings iconic works to life through augmented reality.
Presented as part of the France-Yucatán Cultural Week and curated by Danielle Albertos de Cáceres, the exhibition celebrates France’s influence on art history and its continued ability to inspire new forms of creativity and cultural exchange.
The exhibition features seven faithful reproductions of emblematic works and artistic movements, including La Gioconda, Rococo, and Impressionism. Thanks to augmented reality, the experience goes beyond the artwork itself, so don’t forget to bring your phone and headphones to get the full experience.
The exhibition is open Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 8 pm, Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.
