Piel de Barro Orchestra Debut

Secretaría de la Cultura y las Artes de Yucatán presents the debut of the “Piel de Barro” Jaranera Orchestra, an ensemble made up of Yucatecan women offering a contemporary approach to traditional jarana music.
As part of the Musical Outreach Program, this concert is designed as a guided sonic journey that connects tradition with new voices. The program will include works by composers such as Rubén Darío Herrera, as well as pieces by contemporary creators like Angélica Balado.
The performance will take place on April 15 at 7 pm, at Palacio de la Música, in the Patio de Cuerdas Renacer.
