The Navy Marathon

On June 8, the 2025 edition of the Navy Marathon will take place—an event that connects two key spots in Yucatán: from Paseo de Montejo in Mérida all the way to the International Boardwalk  in Progreso. It’s the kind of experience that blends sport, scenery, and community, perfect for those who run out of passion or simply for the joy of trying something different.

There are two race options: the full marathon (42 kilometers), which starts early—at 4:30 am for wheelchair participants and 4:32 a.m. for individual runners and relay teams, departing from the heart of Mérida. There’s also a half marathon (21 kilometers), starting at 6 am from the Komchén bridge. Both routes end by the coast, so after all the effort, runners get rewarded with sea breeze and ocean views.
