Maaya Chuuy Embroidery Workshop

On March 10, 17, 24, and 31 at 10 am, head to the Gran Museo del Mundo Maya for the Maaya Chuuy embroidery workshop. You’ll learn traditional techniques such as double-stitch cross-stitch, reverse chuuy, and ribbon chuuy, guided by Zelmy Oliva Domínguez Chan and Mayra Patricia Chi Pérez.
Held in honor of International Women’s Day, this workshop highlights some of the most representative embroidery techniques practiced in everyday Maya life.
