From October 28 to November 2, Maxcanú comes alive to celebrate Janal Pixan, one of Yucatán’s most heartfelt traditions. The festivities kick off on October 28 with the altar contest at the main park at 5 pm, followed by the Catrina costume contest at 7 pm.
On October 30, experience a night of mystery with the Legend Walk at the municipal cemetery, with tours at 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm. On October 31, enjoy the lively All Saints’ Day Celebration at 6 pm.
On November 1, don’t miss the Monumental Altar at La Ermita de las Tres Cruces at 7 pm, and on November 2, the festivities close with a mass at the municipal cemetery at 8 am.
