This October 10 at 7 pm, SoHo Galleries presents Essence of Yucatán, a limited-edition collection of bowls created by Canadian artists Dan and Nisha, who currently live and work in San Miguel de Allende.
Through each piece, the couple reimagines some of the state’s most recognizable elements, from local flora and fauna, cenotes, and the iconic Toh bird to Chichén Itzá and different corners of Mérida. The Monumento a la Patria, the city’s historic entrances, and the Casas Gemelas are also among the details featured in the collection.
More than decorative objects, each bowl tells a small story about Yucatán’s diversity, landscapes, and beauty. The collection offers a different way to connect with the state—and, for those looking for a special keepsake, to bring a little piece of its essence home.
