On March 17 at 8 pm, attend the opening of the new temporary exhibition at Museo Regional de Antropología de Yucatán, Palacio Cantón, presented in collaboration with the Feria Internacional de la Lectura Yucatán. Titled ARRAIGO, the exhibition features the work of photographer Bénédicte Desrus.
As part of FILEY’s program, the exhibition will be displayed outdoors along the Paseo de Montejo sidewalk, just outside the museum, blending into the city’s everyday landscape.
ARRAIGO brings together a documentary project developed by Desrus over two years (2023–2025). During that time, she walked through downtown Mérida and entered the homes of local residents, who generously opened their doors to be photographed in natural light and share their stories through interviews—creating an intimate portrait of identity and belonging.
