On March 20 at 7 pm, join the Great Alley Serenade celebrating the Day of the Yucatecan Troubadour, an evening dedicated to the melodies that have shaped the identity of Yucatán’s trova tradition.

The procession will depart from the Patio de Cuerdas of Palacio de la Música - Centro Nacional de la Música Mexicana and make its way to the Museo de la Canción Yucateca, accompanied by troubadours and musicians filling the streets with music.

Once at the museum, the celebration will continue with a concert featuring trios from some of the state’s leading trova ensembles. The evening will conclude with the presentation of the Pastor Cervera Medal to troubadour Gonzalo Díaz Arzápalo from Valladolid in recognition of his musical career.

The event is completely free.
