A Solitary Path

As part of the 8th Casa Tanicho International Monologue Festival, within Mérida Fest 2026, A Solitary Path arrives as a co-production by Spanish theater companies Ikigai and Viento Sur Teatro.
The play offers a poetic stage journey exploring the many faces of solitude—an emotion or state we have all experienced at some point. Through imagery and movement, the stage becomes a path of contrasts: obstacles and calm, storms and color, encounters with oneself and with others. Hopeful characters walk this path with humor and sensitivity, learning to live with solitude, laugh at it, and even dance alongside it.
The performance takes place on January 11 at 7 pm at the Casa Tanicho Cultural Center. As part of Mérida Fest 2026, admission is free and recommended for teens and adults.
