From October 25 to November 2, the city will be filled with tradition and color with the return of Festival de las Ánimas (the Festival of the Souls) 2025, one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year. This festival honors Janal Pixan, the Yucatecan way of remembering our loved ones, while also blending traditions from other regions of México for Día de Muertos.
This edition brings back beloved activities such as the Mucbipollo Fair (mukbilpollo or pib) on October 26, the Rodada de las Ánimas (The Soul's Ride) on October 29, the traditional Paseo de las Ánimas (Parade of the Souls) on October 31, the Catrinas Parade on November 1, and many more surprises!
