Get Ready for Tak'an!
Mark your calendars! Clear your plans for August 9th and 10th – we'll be waiting for you in Halachó, Yucatán!
Get ready and prepare to live an experience where the past, present, and future converge.
At Tak'an, we believe a dish isn't just cooked with fire. It's also cooked with what is honored, cared for, and shared. That's why these are the values that guide us:
-
Identity: We cook from our roots so we never forget who we are.
-
Sustainability: The earth gives back if you give back to it.
-
Collaboration: No one cooks alone; flavor is communal.
-
Vocation: What is done with love is inherited.
-
Respect: For people, for ingredients, for time.
Here, each value is worn like an apron: with pride and commitment.
What is Tak'an? Who are we?
From the Mayan word for "to cook or season," Tak'an was born as an association that seeks to promote and strengthen our cultural and gastronomic richness. In a world of constant globalization and evolution, we aim to serve as a platform to give visibility to, and in turn, preserve and allow the exchange of knowledge among traditional cooks, local producers, artisans, artists, and entrepreneurs.
We seek to promote responsible consumption and pride in our roots!
