In Mérida, the legacy of Pedro Infante lives on. Marking the 69th anniversary of his passing, Secretaría de la Cultura y las Artes de Yucatán, in coordination with the Hotel Boulevard Infante, presents a commemorative day dedicated to honoring his memory through music and tradition.
The program begins from 10 am to 12 pm with a reenactment of the funeral procession at Funeraria de la Luz del Cielo. In the evening, from 6 pm to midnight, a large ranchera music revue and community celebration will take place at the Hotel Boulevard Infante, featuring more than 30 performers paying tribute to the beloved icon.
Special guest Rafael Negrete, grandson of Jorge Negrete, will also be part of the program.
