From October 27 to 31, Kanasín comes alive with the Path of the Souls celebrations. For five days, different corners of the municipality will be filled with color, music, and tradition to honor the roots that keep the spirit of Janal Pixan alive.
The festivities kick off on October 27 with the lighting of the main park at 7 pm, followed by a performance by the Ecos del Mayab Folkloric Ballet.
On October 28, enjoy the play “The Conjuring of Mukbilpollo” in the main square at 7:30 pm.
On October 29, experience the traditional Stroll of the Souls at 7 pm, ending with a lively vaquería (Yucatecan folk dance) at 9 pm in front of the municipal palace.
On October 30, the fun continues with a candy and costume night at 6:30 pm, the “Circo de los Tormentos” show at 7 pm, and a character performance at 8:30 pm, all in the main square.
Finally, on October 31, close out the celebration with the altar exhibition in front of the municipal palace at 7 pm, a heartfelt tribute to tradition, memory, and community.
