Photographs can also be a way to make your voice heard. Starting November 4, visit Mujeres que luchan, a new temporary exhibition at Museo de la Ciudad de Mérida. This project by photojournalist Lilia Balam brings together art, human rights, memory, and the ongoing fight for justice and equality.
Through 22 photographs, you’ll discover the stories of women organizing in Yucatán, Chiapas, and México City, taking to the streets to demand justice and defend their rights. The exhibition will be open to the public through January at Galería de Arte Municipal de Mérida, located on the museum’s second floor.
