On October 31 starting at 8 pm, Mérida’s streets will come alive with color and elegance during the Desfile de Catrinas (Catrina Parade), part of the 2026 Festival de las Ánimas.
With more than 18 groups taking part, each showcasing its own distinctive style, this is one of the festival’s most visually striking events. The parade will set off from Plaza Grande and make its way to Parque de la Plancha, bringing artistic makeup, elaborate costumes, and plenty of creativity to the streets.
