This Sunday, June 29th, join us for "Asteroid Day 2025: Yucatán, Where Earth Changed Forever," a special event at the Museo de la Luz. We'll reflect on the impact of the asteroid that formed the Chicxulub crater and what asteroids could mean for our future!
This activity is a collaboration with ENES Mérida UNAM and is designed for all ages. There will be talks, workshops, and interactive activities, including the participation of Dr. Elia Escobar Sánchez, who will share the latest findings on the Chicxulub crater.
We'll also explore missions like Rosetta and DART, and learn how science studies asteroids today and their role in planetary defense.
