Your senses will come alive from the amazing art, shopping, and gastronomy inside an architectural space filled with photo ops. At Lagalá 56:426 you’ll discover an incredibly vivid, current, and creative design and multicultural experience, in a place that is writing a new story in Mérida.
Lagalá, driven by a young team, is pure pleasure and discovery: an adventure for all who visit. This cultural center, housed in an antique casona, was beautifully remodeled with geometric lines inspired by Art Decó. The gallery has three exhibition halls where you can admire a new exhibit which will open on January 17 of this year.
The terrace is the epicenter of the space, a wide open area that is ideal for artistic expression, events, and ephemeral markets; and a workroom designed for business and social meetings, workshops, or courses. In both spaces something is always happening and you won’t want to miss it, regardless of age or language. Check their social media for events; it’s also available for rent.
Te Extraño, Extraño – Cocina Contemporánea has become a “must” gastronomic visit in Mérida. Explore new flavors and sensations from a menu created by chefs Joaquín Cardoso and Sofía Cortina (who trained in the kitchen of renowned chef Enrique Olvera). They respect traditional cooking techniques and add local products such as pumpkin seeds, Valladolid sausage, and chile Xcatic. Try their delicious chilaquiles or a “Ceviche Celestún,” which is a fish of the day ceviche with pink tiger milk and coconut, lime, cilantro, and chile Xcatic. Save room for the desserts that are made without added sugar, and don’t leave without trying the coffee…it’s a must! With vegan options and an inspiring atmosphere, you will feel heart and soul in every dish. Take one of the best photographs of your trip right here.
Imox Curated Boutique is more than a place to shop, it is an architectural and interior design experience where you can buy sophisticated and timeless pieces chosen by the Lagalá curator team. Decorative objects, clothing, footwear, accessories, personal care products, and an excellent selection of books, from more than 60 Mexican designers who offer their own contemporary vision, are constantly curated…so you, too, might say that you have found a Paradise for your upcoming purchases.
To see, to eat, to enjoy, and to simply be… are sensations you’ll experience in Lagalá 56:426.
