The Voodoo Film Fest is a project organized by young filmmakers, for promoting culture and specially the film industry in the state of Yucatán, for becoming a platform for new talents. The first edition will be held from October 12 to 14, 2017 in Mérida. The festival started at Villahermosa, Tabasco on 2016. The festival host will be Cinépolis Altabrisa.
Among the main events, a short film contest will be held with a selection of 10 and the winners will be choose between 3 juries. Edgar Nito, will be one of these juries, who is the must special guest from the event.

Thursday, October 12
• Opening at Cinépolis Altabrisa. 6 pm
• Presentation and short film exhibition at Cinépolis. 6:30 pm
• Art exhibition at Peón Contreras theater.
• Workshop by: Edgar Nito.
Friday, October 13
• Presentation and short film exhibition at Parque de las Américas. 7 pm
• Art exhibition at Peón Contreras theater.
• Workshop by: Edgar Nito.
Saturday, October 14
• Closure event at Parque de las Américas. 7 pm
