Monday
Start your week with some delicious seafood tacos or a torta at the Mercado de Santiago in Mérida, then walk to the Plaza Grande and visit Palacio de Gobierno, Casa de Montejo, the cathedral, and MACAY Museum. At night go to the Vaquería (regional dance) at the Palacio Municipal, also located on the Plaza Grande.
Tuesday
Archaeology day: drive early in the morning to Uxmal, discover all the amazing buildings there. On your way back, have lunch at Hacienda Ochil and then visit Hacienda Yaxcopoil, frozen in time. At night drop in to the emblematic Rosas & Xocolate hotel for a drink.
Wednesday
Enjoy a day full of emotions and adventure at the cenotes of Cuzamá. At 8:30 pm watch the video mapping at Casa de Montejo on the Plaza Grande in Mérida.
Thursday
Drive south and discover the Loltún caves. Coming back go through Maní and have an amazing lunch at the Príncipe Tutul Xiu restaurant. At night go to Parque Santa Lucía in Mérida and listen the Serenata Yucateca at 9 pm.
Friday
Enjoy a morning on the beach in Progreso. As soon as you get hungry order some fried fish or some shrimps with coconut in one of the restaurants with beach service. At night you can go to the Museo Mundo Maya at 8:30 pm and watch the light and sound show.
Saturday
Only two hours from Mérida you will find the magic town of Valladolid. Walk through its streets, get to know the convent, the cathedral and the cenotes. At night go to Mercado 60 in Mérida for a great casual meal and some live music.
Panuchos
Sunday
Keep discovering different corners of Mérida. Go to the Barrio de la Mejorada, and visit the Canción Yucateca museum and the church. After that have a typical Yucatecan lunch at Los Almendros. Enjoy the cool evening and have some panuchos for dinner at La Reina de Montejo, located on Paseo de Montejo.
