Monday
Rent a car and take the highway to the magical town of Izamal. Walk through the convent and main streets. Go to the market and order the typical Monday dish from Yucatán: “Frijol con Puerco” (beans with pork). In the evening, go to the “Vaquería Regional” at Mérida Palacio Municipal.
Tuesday
Start your day at Hacienda Yaxcopoil, and continue to the archaeological site of Uxmal. As a perfect closure, go to Hacienda Ochil for a delicious Yucatecan lunch. In the evening, go to Parque de Santiago in Mérida at 8:30 pm and dance to the music of “Noches de Remembranzas Musicales.”
Wednesday
Drive south and start your adventure at Loltún caves. On your way back, have lunch at Príncipe Tutul Xiu in Ticul and visit all the different shoe stores. Have dinner at Mercado 60 in Mérida, and enjoy a 10% discount presenting the magazine.
Thursday
Prepare yourself for an amazing day at the cenotes of Homún. At night visit Parque Santa Lucía in Mérida and enjoy the “Serenata Yucateca” at 9 pm, then have dinner in one of the delicious restaurants in the park, check the online restaurants listing.
Friday
Start the day by having breakfast at one of Mérida’s boutique hotels, followed by a spa morning. In the afternoon visit the art galleries in Centro and in the evening listen to the Yucatán Symphony Orchestra at Peón Contreras Theater.
Saturday
Walk along Paseo de Montejo, visit Quinta Montes Molina and Palacio Cantón Museum, and have an ice cream at Sorbetería Colón. Continue walking to Plaza Grande and discover Casa de Montejo. Enjoy the video mapping on the Cathedral at 9 pm.
Sunday
Head to the coastal town of Celestún, go through the Ría and watch the beautiful flamingos. Enjoy the sea and beach, plus a delicious seafood lunch. When you come back enjoy “Mérida en Domingo,” until 9 pm, and don’t forget to have a “marquesita.”

Excellent list! You might consider switching Celestune to Saturday so Sunday morning can be spent seeing Paseo de Montejo by bicycle!
