Monday

Check in to Hotel Mansión Mérida, located right in the heart of the city. In the morning, take the time to walk around the Centro while you admire the iconic architecture of the Ciudad Blanca. Then, have lunch at MUGY to see how they dig up a traditional Pib at 2:30 pm.

 

 

Tuesday

Escape to a beautiful beach and Pueblo Mágico: Sisal (just 44 km from Mérida!). You’ll love this historic port with fabulous cuisine and tons of nature-based activities. Back in Mérida, treat yourself to dinner and a glass of wine at Oliva Enoteca.

 

 

Wednesday

Izamal is a beautiful town in yellow, when you arrive, check in to the hotel Rinconada del Convento. Don’t miss the San Antonio de Padua former convent, Galería Tres Pájaros, Hecho a Mano, and the Kinich Kakmó, one of the largest pyramids in the country.

 

 

 

Thursday

Start the day early with a visit to Ek Balam. After exploring the site, take a dip in the crystal clear cenote X’Canché. Make your way to Valladolid to enjoy dinner, the video mapping at 9 pm, and a good night’s sleep at the Mesón del Marqués.

 

 

 

Friday

Continue your sightseeing adventure back in Mérida. Walk through the Barrio de Santa Lucía with its stunning boutiques and restaurants; and stroll down Paseo de Montejo to see the impressive mansions and monuments. Don’t forget to pop in to Montejo 495 and Casa Museo Montes Molina.

 

 

Saturday

Let’s go to the beautiful Convent Route. You’ll see cenotes, archeology, and unique towns brimming with history; you’ll also just love the food in this area. Make sure to be back in Mérida by 7:30 pm to catch the “Piedras Sagradas” projection mapping on the San Ildefonso Cathedral.

 

 

Sunday

Start your final day at the archaeological site of Dzibilchaltún, famous for its Temple of the Seven Dolls where you can see the Sun passing through the window on the equinox. Then head to Progreso to enjoy the beach, the Malecón, and a delicious ceviche lunch at one of its many seaside restaurants.
