Monday

You’re in Mérida! Start with a tour of Centro Histórico and discover the MACAY museum, the San Ildefonso Cathedral, and the murals at the Palacio de Gobierno by Fernando Castro Pacheco. Then, pamper yourself with a traditional lunch at MUGY (Calle 62 x 55).

 

 

Tuesday

Rise and shine to visit Chichén Itzá, a Yucatecan icon. Afterwards, head to Valladolid and check in at Hotel Le Muuch. Spend your afternoon walking down Calzada de los Frailes which ends at the stunning San Bernardino de Siena Convent in the neighborhood of Sisal.

 

 

Wednesday

After having breakfast at K’uxub, see one of the cenotes near Valladolid. Suytún is famous for its circular platform, Zací has a super convenient location and is surrounded by local plantlife, and Samulá is an ethereal cavern. Return to Mérida and have a delightful dinner at Mansión Mérida.

 

 

Thursday

Take a walk down Paseo de Montejo so you can make stops along the way. There are concept houses like Casa Th’ó, cafés such as Marago, and museums like Casa Museo Montes Molina and Palacio Cantón. In the evening, enjoy music and al fresco dining at Paseo 60.

 

Friday

Start your day at the spectacular site of Uxmal. When you finish, you’ll find the Choco-Story museum right across the road where you can learn all about chocolate. On your way back to Mérida, stop at Hacienda Yaxcopoil to know more about the history of Henequén.

 

 

Saturday

Time to get those souvenirs and experience more of Mérida’s food scene. The Barrio de Santa Lucía has it all with places like Ki’Xocolatl, Plaza Carmesí, Color Amor, Kukul Boutik, Colores Yucatecos, and Artesanaria. When hungry, check out Rosa Sur 32°, Peruano, Cartas a Frida, or Apoala.

 

Sunday

Beach day! Explore Sisal, a natural, historical, and culinary paradise. Discover the coastline’s plant and wildlife, the beautiful murals of this picturesque port, and their crab claws! Make your way back to Mérida to prepare for your return home. We hope to see you again soon.
