Each month Yucatan Today visits a restaurant in order to describe what it has to offer. This is not a review; it is a summary of the menu, service, ambience, and opening hours.
If you are really hungry and are looking for southwestern US “comfort” food, head over to Chili’s. For over 37 years Chili’s has prided itself on offering a captivating ambience where you can have fun while enjoying delicious food, refreshing drinks, and amazing desserts. From its humble beginnings as a Dallas eatery offering “Texas Red Chili” and burgers in baskets, today there are more than 1500 restaurants in more than 33 countries, including locations in Europe, Russia, Middle East, Asia, North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
The southwest theme has expanded to include baby back ribs, fajitas, steaks, and much more. Chili’s in Mexico opened its doors in 1992 and today there are branches all over the country. Chili’s welcoming slogan: “like no place else”.
Famous for its classic and premium margaritas, Chili’s offers both original and flavored. There are many popular bar drinks such as Cosmopolitan, Mojito, Piña Colada, and their own tangy Sangría. There are hot and cold coffees (espresso, cappuccino, frappé, Irish coffee), milkshakes, lemonade, and teas. Beers (including draft) and a few red/white house wines by bottle or glass are also available. You will need time to study the extensive menu, so pick a beverage and enjoy.
From the appetizers menu: Bottomless tostada chips with salsa, Texas jalapeño cheese poppers, fried cheese, wings, eggrolls, nachos, and calamari. Some of these are options in the triple dipper (choose a combination of three, to share with friends).

Big mouth burgers are exactly what the name implies! Toppings include bacon, avocado, mushroom, Swiss cheese, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, and chipotle bleu cheese.
From the Southwest grill: Fajitas served in a hot skillet, with a choice of chicken, beef, or combo, either classic or Cowboy. Or opt for the trio: steak, chicken, and shrimp. Quesadillas include : bacon ranch chicken or chicken club.
Penne pastas include cilantro pesto pasta, chipotle pesto pasta, and Alfredo pasta. Seafood options: grilled salmon and fried fish. Chicken: Margarita grilled chicken, sweet & spicy chicken, honey chipotle chicken crispers, fried chicken, chicken melt, and Monterey chicken.
Chili’s famous ribs: original and honey chipotle; ½ rack or whole; or try the ribs and chicken combo. Steaks are classic: southwest ribeye, classic sirloin, pico steak, and a juicy NY strip.
Desserts are divine! Consider a sundae, chocolate chip paradise pie, caramel apple tart, California style cheesecake, or the decadent molten chocolate cake.
