Dzityá, a Comisaría of Mérida with great culture and tradition, has distinguished itself for being the home of artisan families that are dedicated to preserving traditions passed down from generation to generation by creating items made mainly of stone and wood.
In 2021, Mérida’s municipal government – through the Dirección de Desarrollo Económico y Turismo – is pleased to present the fair’s 20th anniversary with a range of commemorative events. Making use of technology and our traditions, this edition is an adaptation to the current situation and prioritizes the health of all citizens. We continue to evolve by meeting the requirements that are necessary to keep the economy alive.
Once again, artisans open their doors to hold the Feria Artesanal de Tunich, promote cultural exchange, and be part of the economic reactivation of the artisan sector.
The fair will take place from July 23 to August 1 and will give people the opportunity to meet the artisans, buy pieces, and fall in love with local handcrafts and techniques.
Visit Dzityá, take a ride on the Gua Gua, tour the town, and experience the handcraft workshops. Admire the work of our artisans and the trajectory of the fair in an exhibition that will be on display on the first floor of the Palacio Municipal, Monday through Sunday from 9 am to 12 pm and from 5 to 9 pm.
