Monday

Let’s go to Celestún. It’s time to see the mangroves, the fresh water springs, and of course the flamingos. Also, don’t forget about the seafood restaurants on the beach! Back in Mérida, at 9 pm, enjoy the “Vaquería” (regional dance) at the Plaza Grande.

Tuesday

Today will be a Maya culture day. Go to the archaeological site of Dzibilchaltún and check out the on-site museum. At night, have dinner at Hennessy’s located on Paseo de Montejo

 

 


Convento San Miguel Arcángel

Wednesday

We are off to visit the Convent Route today, where you will see unique villages, full of color and history, cenotes and archaeology. You’ll also adore the gastronomy that you’ll find at the different stops. The last town on the route is the most important one, do you know which one it is?

 


La Recova

Thursday

Take the free guided tour at 9:30 am, departing from Palacio Municipal in Plaza Grande. After the tour, walk around the Centro streets. Remember that at 9 pm you can watch the Yucatecan Serenata in Santa Lucía park.

 

 


Friday

Shopping day! Go to some of the fabulous boutiques in Mérida: Casa T’hó, Kukul Boutik100% México, and others. You will end up thirsty and hungry, so in the evening be sure to check out Mercado 60.

 


Saturday

A “must” stop in Yucatán is Izamal, go to the convent, the artisan workshops, the stores, and of course try a delicious Yucatecan lunch. Back in Mérida have a unique evening on the terrace of Picheta, overlooking the Cathedral.

 


Sunday

In the morning do some shopping at “Mérida en Domingo” in the Plaza Grande. End your last day in Mérida with a truly spectacular meal at MUGY.
