Monday
Let’s go to Celestún, it’s time to see the mangroves, the springs and of course the flamingos, and a variety of seafood restaurants on the beach. Back in Mérida at 9 pm enjoy the “Vaquería” (regional dance) at the Plaza Grande.
Tuesday
Today will be a cultural Maya day, go to the archaeological site of Dzibilchaltún, check out the on-site museum. At night have dinner at Bollicine Cucina Italiana, located on the beautiful Paseo de Montejo.
Wednesday
We are going to visit the Convent Route today, where you will see unique towns, full of color and history. Plus you can enjoy the gastronomy that you will find at the towns. The last town on the route is the most important one, do you know which one is?
Thursday
Take the free guided tour at 9:30 am, departing from Palacio Municipal in Plaza Grande, then after the tour walk around the Centro streets. Remember that at 9 pm you can watch the Yucatecan Serenade in Santa Lucía park.
Friday
Shopping day! Go to some of the fabulous boutiques in Mérida: Casa T’hó, ¡El Estudio!, Kukul Boutik, 100% México and others. You will end up thirsty and hungry, so head over to La Linda Mérida.
Saturday
A “must” stop in Yucatán is Izamal, go to the convent, to the artisan workshops, the stores, and of course to have a delicious lunch. Back in Mérida have a unique evening at the rooftop bar of Rosas & Xocolate.
Sunday
In the morning do some shopping at “Mérida en Domingo” in the Plaza Grande, after that drive north and go around that part of the city. Have dinner at Radio Station Pizza at Av. García Lavín.
