Monday
Welcome to Yucatán! Start your day by having a “torta” of Cochinita Pibil at Taquería San Fernando on Av. Cupules, from there walk to the Holiday Inn and take the Turibus, you can get off and on all along the route. At 9 pm enjoy the “Vaquería” (regional dance) at the Plaza Grande.
Tuesday
Go to the Homún cenotes, for a great adventure. Back in Mérida, at 8:30 pm go to Santiago park for an evening of dance at “Remembranzas Musicales.” After that have dinner at the mercado in the same park.
Wednesday
Take the highway towards Chichén Itzá, enjoy the archaeological site and after your tour have an amazing lunch at Hacienda Chichén. Book your “Noches de Kukulkán” show tickets in advance for a great evening activity.
Thursday
The wonderful port town of Celestún is waiting for you: take a boat tour, go to the mangrove. Back in Mérida, watch the Yucatecan Serenade in Santa Lucía park at 9 pm, and then have dinner at La Tratto.
Friday
Enjoy the free guided tour at 9:30 am, departing from Palacio Municipal in Plaza Grande. After the tour walk around the Centro streets and go to the galleries, museums, and shops. For a fun night out, go to Hennessy’s Irish Pub, have a beer and listen to the live music.
Saturday
In the morning go to the beautiful Quinta Montes Molina. While you are in Centro go to Patio 57 for a Yucatecan and Lebanese lunch. At Plaza Grande make a stop at Sorbetería Colón for some sweets and enjoy the Cathedral video mapping at 9 pm.
Sunday
Rent a bike and go along Paseo de Montejo and other Centro streets during the “Bici-Ruta.” Do some shopping at “Mérida en Domingo” in the Plaza Grande, and have dinner at Osteria Piccoli on Prolongación Montejo.
