«¿Quieres ser un buen arqueólogo? … ¡Tienes que salir de la biblioteca!» – Indiana Jones
Una vez más inicio la carta editorial con una cita de Indiana Jones, y probablemente recurra a él de nuevo en busca de inspiración en el futuro. ¿Por qué?, seguramente te estás preguntando.
Como ahora ya sabes, en la edición de marzo presentamos un aspecto totalmente nuevo de la revista impresa Yucatán Today y del sitio web: nuevo logo y nuevas formas de organizar y presentar la información. Durante este proceso, que nos llevó un año, uno de los ejercicios que hicimos fue plantearnos la siguiente pregunta: «Si Yucatán Today fuera una persona, ¿quién sería?» Decidimos que sería Indiana Jones: aventurero, intrépido y conocedor de los lugares a los que va. La persona perfecta para acompañarte en tus viajes por Yucatán: igual de cómodo con los viajeros que llevan solamente una mochila o con aquellos que prefieren un juego completo de maletas Louis Vuitton.
Hemos recibido muchos comentarios maravillosos de nuestros lectores sobre nuestra nueva imagen. Espero que disfrutes leyendo algunos de ellos abajo. En la portada de esta edición, presentamos este mes la Catedral San Ildefonso de Mérida, y estará en exhibición en la gran feria anual de turismo de nuestro país, el Tianguis Turístico México que se realiza del 25 al 28 de abril en Guadalajara. ¡Yucatán Today será visto por profesionales de la industria de viajes de todo el mundo!
¿Qué hay de nuevo este mes? La historia de la inmigración coreana a Yucatán; una mirada a nuestro equipo de béisbol local, Los Leones de Yucatán; la oportunidad de conocer al reconocido artista yucateco Gabriel Ramírez Aznar; y la deliciosa descripción de los juegos tradicionales mayas. ¿Con ánimo para un viaje de un día que combine un sitio arqueológico y un cenote? ¿Comida yucateca para el almuerzo? Echa un vistazo a «Descubriendo lugares».
