Technotel Beach

The Gulf coast of Yucatán is attractive to many because it is still relatively undeveloped. However, this also means that hotel accommodation has been limited to the urban areas scattered along the coast. But now there is another option: Technotel Beach, in the San Benito beach area, 25 km. east of Progreso.

Situated on a pristine white sandy beach, this recently built and opened 24-room hotel is comfortable and the setting is quiet. No late-night discos down the street; the only sounds are the lapping waves, ocean breezes, and sea birds. The ocean-view rooms have a kitchenette with fridge and microwave, so you can bring your own food, beverages and utensils to make your stay completely self-contained. There are two pools (for adults and kids), private parking, green areas and palapas, and barbecues (bring your own charcoal).

This is the fourth hotel in the Technotel group. The history begins 18 years ago, in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, with the opening of the first hotel, with 46 rooms, innovating their main goal of meeting the needs of business people who were looking for a practical, safe, and comfortable place to stay.

In 1999, Technotel Itzaes opened in Mérida, offering 32 rooms (now 50) in a location convenient to both the airport and Clínica de Mérida.

In 2003, Technotel Norte opened at km. 11 on the road to Progreso, starting with 32 rooms and expanding to 68. This location is close to shopping centers, universities, and business centers.
