T'ai Spa
Go ahead, indulge yourself. If you are on vacation, you could use some relief for tired muscles from all that walking and carrying luggage. If you live here, eliminate day-to-day stress with one of T'ai Spa's many treatment options. Below you will be able to read about the Aromatic Relax massage and the Q10 Facial.
The Aromatic Relax Massage was my first professional massage; I was expecting it to be nice but I had no idea how nice it would turn out to be!
From the moment I entered the salon, I began to unwind. Soft music, candles, and flowers provide a relaxing ambience. I was greeted warmly and asked to provide some background health information. Then I was escorted to the second floor. On my way I passed several other customers having pedicures. They looked totally content.
Once on the second floor, I was given a locker for my things, and shown to a room to change into a robe and disposable slippers. The massage therapist then escorted me to the private massage room, where she left me for a few minutes to get settled on the massage table, beautifully arranged with colorful blossoms.
Accompanied by soft, relaxing music, my massage began with some deep breaths with the scent of eucalyptus. I was lying face up as my masseuse started the massage with my face, neck and scalp...gentle movements which helped me to begin to relax. She then worked on my shoulders, arms, hands, legs, and feet...with the hands of an angel. Once face down, she again treated my feet, legs, hands, and arms to her gentle touch, and then massaged my back, neck and scalp. It took 50 minutes and was lovely. A really wonderful way to unwind.
One of the most pleasurable treatments available at T’ai Spa is the Q10 Facial. This highly moisturizing facial contains the co-enzyme ubiquinone, bringing to your skin all the necessary nutrients it needs to recover moisture lost over the passage of time caused by the aggression of free radicals. The treatment begins with a cleansing of the face, followed by an exfoliation, leaving the skin baby soft and and making it easier for the mask to penetrate. The mask is applied and an ampule of ubiquinone is opened and is applied with ultrasound. Once this is done, a reaffirming massage is given to the face, as well as the scalp, neck, shoulders, hands, and arms. The 90-minute treatment leaves you feeling totally relaxed and your face looks and feels like new!
T'ai Spa's menu of services includes treatments for men and women. Both can opt for massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures, and men can also request a haircut. Body treatments, lasting from 30 minutes to 2 hours, include: T'ai Sport, Rain Drops (Israeli ritual), Total Relax, Aromatic Relax, Basic Reductive (package of 5 sessions), T'ai Reductive (package of 11 sessions), Lymphatic Drainage, Wraps, Special T'ai Exfoliation, Sea Exfoliation, and After Sun. Travelers often choose the Lymphatic Drainage, a very delicate massage, which helps remove toxins in the body caused by flying and eating unusual foods.
Pedicures are much more than what you are used to from an esthetics salon. Massage from knees to toes can put you to sleep! And all the pedicures can be finished with an application of nail polish. The five options, ranging from 30 to 90 minutes, are: Pedicure Express, Pedicure Spa, Pedicure T'ai, Pedicure with Hot Stones, and Tired Feet. The Pedicure with Hot Stones is a Canadian technique, often chosen by travelers who seek relief for tired feet. The Pedicure Spa includes a simultaneous back massage, and the Pedicure T'ai includes a plate of fruits and a glass of wine. Heavenly!
Like the pedicures, the manicures are something special, also ranging from 30 to 90 minutes. Massage from elbow to fingers is basic to each of the options, which include: Manicure Express, Manicure Spa, Manicure T'ai, Manicure Anti-age, and Manicure with Hot Stones. Like the pedicure, the Manicure T'ai includes a plate of fruits and a glass of wine. Mud or paraffin treatments are offered as well. And of course nail polish is always the finishing touch.
Facials are the spa's specialty. You begin with a deep cleansing over four 90-minute sessions. Then your beauty professional will suggest one or more of the following:
Antioxidant, Remineralizing and Antipollution, Decongestant Facial, Photo-aging, Menopause, Q10, Caviar, Vitamin C, Lipid Mud Complex, Revitalizing, Reaffirming, Clearing, Crioplastic, Rose Mask, Gold and Honey, Placenta, Collagen and Elastic, and 8 Hour Lifting. Many of T'ai Spa's clients, mostly over 30, come to them for facials every three weeks.
Brides and couples are special at T'ai Spa. There are packages for the bride and her close friends, and pedicure/face mask packages for couples. Both include wine and either fruit or snacks.
Thinking about botox treatments? Beware of inexpensive imitations. If your esthetics salon offers "botox" for 1000 pesos, it is not the real thing. At T'ai Spa, the plastic surgeon professional comes to the spa and gives the treatments. They also host special events with the plastic surgeons who educate the guests about botox treatments.
T'ai Spa's 17 personnel are professionally trained and certified. They have hundreds of clients who keep coming back...visit T'ai Spa and see why! Indulge yourself with one of their treatments.
