The Spa at
Hacienda Xcanatun

Carved out of one of the largest sisal plantations, the restored 18th century Hacienda Xcanatun is an 18-suite, luxury hotel, privately owned and managed by an entrepreneurial couple with lifelong ties to the Yucatán and to the Mayan world.
Fundamental precepts of Mayan beliefs, seeking harmony with nature and with the universe, are reiterated throughout the property in the vibrant gardens, the colonial architecture, and the design.

The Spa at Hacienda Xcanatun offers an integrated and imaginative approach to beauty and wellness. Highly trained therapists perform a variety of holistic Mayan or wellness procedures. All treatments can be enjoyed in the spa, the garden palapa, or in your hotel room.

The spa is run by a Mayan specialist, trained by her shaman grandfather, who mixes her own oils and creams from natural products.
Nutrient-laden organic honey is used in the signature Mayan Honey & Flower Massage to regenerate and moisturize the skin. After an invigorating and relaxing massage, flowers are placed on the body to bring the soul into balance.

Stress and tension dissolve as energy centers around the body are unblocked in the Aura Cleansing and Chakra Alignment. The Mayan Clay Treatment exfoliates and rejuvenates the skin while re-establishing positive energy. In the Ancient Mayan Stones Massage, warm oils are worked into the skin; then sacred stones, from a Mayan ceremonial site, are placed on the body's energy points to restore vitality and energy.

A variety of seaweed and salt wraps, cleansings, facials and other massages use rich creams and botanicals from Spain's Germaine de Capuccini and Swiss Just essential oils. For a head-to-toe makeover the finishing touch might include a deep facial cleansing, plus manicure or pedicure. In the Photo Gallery, look for the photo of the Spa "muse"... she sits on a special pedestal at the end of hall where the treatment rooms are...pure tranquility!

All these pampering treatments are available to the public or to hotel guests.

After pampering your body, you may also want to consider doing the same for your tastebuds at Xcanatun's landmark Casa de Piedra restaurant, which has earned the Five-Star Diamond Award from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
