Michael Milam's Art By Photography

Michael Milam is primarily known for his unusual style in capturing water fowl in such a way that makes you think you are looking at water color paintings. After 2 years of photographing regional birds, horses, butterflies , etc. he has turned his attention towards people; most have been exotic women.

Art By Photography has the in house capability of producing your prints on museum grade canvas, Huun's hand made papers (local product by Mark Callahan) and, if you insist, on photo glossy or matte papers, all on sizes up to 110 cm x 180 cm.

Michael has lived in Mérida for over 10 years as a retired citizen and started all of this simply for something to do, and as it turns out, that something to do has created amazing works of art which have been exhibited at Mérida International Airport (Gallery A) for more than 9 weeks, at La Casa Del Habano on Prol. Montejo (formerly Mercer's Lounge), and has had several shows in the U.S: Miami; Atlanta; Athens, Georgia; Pensacola, and San Diego.

His latest collaboration is with La Casa Del Habano, capturing the essence of cigars and the femme, (Girls & Cigars) which can be seen there on display from Feb. 6 to Mar. 5, 2010: Prolongación Montejo No. 85 x 15 y 17, between La Parrilla and El Cielo.
