Hacienda Petac
Hacienda Petac is something truly out of the ordinary. It offers groups of up to 12 family members or friends an authentic hacienda experience, with gentle, gracious service at every moment of the day. This exquisite 17th century private home, elegantly restored, offers luxury hotel amenities to individual groups; no one else is present except you, your companions, and 24 caring staff. The accommodation is breathtaking, the attention to detail is superb, and the 200-acre setting is lush and alluring.
Imagine a one-week reunion of close family or treasured friends in a place where all of your time is devoted to each other. Conversations are not rushed; confidences are exchanged; you have time to walk together and eat together. You can explore the natural or archaeological beauty of the region with the assistance of the hacienda’s personal driver; or enjoy the impeccably planned on-site activities which bring the culture of Yucatán to your door. And if there is a wedding in your plans, the hacienda setting provides a fairy-tale backdrop for the most elegant wedding you can dream of.
Before your arrival, you will be able to identify your food and beverage preferences, right down to your favorite wine or scotch. Meals take place when and where you want to eat, and the unobtrusive staff materializes throughout the day, precisely at the moment when you want a snack or a beverage. Mornings begin with coffee delivered to your room, when you are ready for it and not a moment before. Evenings are spent on an outdoor terrace under twinkling lanterns, or over a game of “Clue” or “Sorry!” in the game room, with its fully stocked bar.
The five bedrooms each accommodate two people, but a total of 12 guests can be received. Your exclusive use of Hacienda Petac is best enjoyed over a seven-night stay; however, smaller groups and shorter stays can be handled on request. The weekly rate includes all of the hacienda facilities: the full-service team of manager/hostess, cooks, maids, and gardeners; all meals, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages; and tax. There are walking trails, a swimming pool, spa, and fitness center. Bicycles, croquet, and lawn bowling are available, and a guided bird-watching walk is provided at no extra cost. The kitchen is open to guests at any time, and a demonstration of Yucatecan cooking can be arranged. Meals are themed around fresh, local ingredients and recipes, with many fruits and herbs grown on site; however, any special food requests can be accommodated. Every bite is a journey of gastronomy; and an evening of Yucatecan trova provides a gentle harmony for your last night.
Hacienda Petac is located a 30-minute drive from Mérida. Serene, luxurious, and gracious, Hacienda Petac is simply captivating.
