Spring 2011 update: Arabesque Apartments is pleased to announce that they now have their approved condominium documents and are starting their sales program!

Located in the heart of the historic centro, the Arabesque Apartments bring a new standard to apartment living in Mexico. These six individually decorated one- and two-bedroom apartments are fully furnished with everything you need to live a relaxed, quiet and luxurious lifestyle in Mérida.

Arabesque is intended expressly for those people planning a mid- to long-term stay in Mérida. Whether investigating Mérida as possible a new home, a temporary assignment in education or business, waiting for the completion of the building of your own home, or just wanting a nice place to live in Centro, these comfortable surroundings will make life in Mérida enjoyable and relaxing…without the maintenance challenges of living in a rented house. They all share a luscious tropical garden and swimming pool. All this is hidden behind a handsome facade with a secure gate. These apartments were built with luxury and convenience in mind, and nothing has been forgotten!

Although these magnificent apartments are surprisingly affordable (ranging from $1200 US to $2200 US per month), no detail has been overlooked. Each apartment comes complete with custom-made drapes, high quality linens, Sealy Posturpedic mattresses, gourmet kitchens with refrigerator, stove and oven
microwave, dishwasher, potable water faucet at the sink, air conditioning and ceiling fans in every room, ample closets and storage, original artwork, crystal chandeliers, and the beautiful mosaic tile floors for which Mérida is famous. There is a handyman/gardener on the premises daily, and weekly maid service is included, including linen change, and laundry service is available; these services are provided by the delightful couple Tonita and Mario.

Arabesque Boutique Apartments is a distinctive concept in apartment living for Mérida Centro. The project was conceived and built by the well known designers Roberto and Tonia Kimsey (she is a very talented professional interior designer), formerly of Sarasota, Florida and La Manzanilla, Jalisco, for the German investor Detlev von Armin. They have melded the original construction 1915 Art Deco style exterior with the stylish elegance and relaxed comforts of French Country interiors. Some even have gardens in the bathrooms!

Visitors have said that walking into any of the unique apartments gives the comfortable feeling the apartment “is wrapping its arms around you”. The source of this delightful feeling is the partnership of meticulous planning and superb interior design. Each apartment is light and airy, while, at the same time, warm and comforting. The apartments are filled with a relaxed combination of custom designed and antique furnishings, all locally made or purchased. Every apartment is unique, and each has been carefully planned to give exquisite views of the beautifully landscaped tropical garden. This refreshing garden courtyard, complete with its 10 meter swimmable pool, has been carefully planned for the enjoyment of the residents and their guests.

Arabesque’s location on Calle 66 between 49 and 53 is super convenient; right in the heart of Centro and around the corner from the Merida English Language Library. Call LeAnn Roberts, property manager, at cell. 999-223-2536. www.apartmentsmerida.com
