Young Spanish director Santiago Serrate has a rising career and has been Assistant of the renowned directors Pedro Halffter and Antoni Ross Marbá. For this program, he will play one of the most famous works of Felix Mendelssohn, A Midsummer's Night's Dream, whose best-known song is the Wedding March which is usually performed at weddings. In the first part, the programme is characterised by the virtuosity and lightness of Rossini, both in the William Tell Overture, the last opera of the composer, as in Variations for a clarinet performed by the talented clarinetist Mexican Fernando Domínguez, who belongs to the trio Neos and ONIX ensemble of contemporary music. He also interpreted the Concertino for clarinet by Weber, a successful, virtuosic and entertaining piece of repertoire for clarinet.
