For the opening of the season, to celebrate the Bicentennial of Independence and the Centennial of the Revolution of Mexico, we honor mexican composers including the notable Cecilio Perera, who will perform Manuel M. Ponce. Currently, this talented Yucatecan guitarist studies in Salzburg, Austria, while continuing to receive international acclaim. We will also enjoy the orchestral performance of Silvestre Revueltas, who, due to his emotional and dramatical performances, was carried to the big screen in, 1939 and remains an icon of the Golden Era of national cinema.
