Fashion Show and Silent Auction for Brazos Abiertos

Brazos Abiertos 3rd Annual Fall Event, featuring the Spring Summer 2010 Collection by Merida fashion designer Alexi Quintal. Paul Lindemuth will be adding his talents by providing delectable hors d’oeuvres. Fundraising goal is 150,000 pesos. Brazos Abiertos’ ongoing AIDS support projects: peer on peer education program in the Mayan villages; post and pre HIV counseling, free anonymous HIV testing for all persons, educate local population about safe sex and HIV, provide free anonymous condom distribution, and supply medical treatment and medications for persons with HIV.

This is not a gay event but very mixed.  The funds raised go to Brazos Abiertos to help support HIV education in the Yucatan, and to provide preventive programs and medical care to persons living in the Yucatan with AIDS.
