You can get a taxi (or colectivo which runs frequently along the coast) to take you to Progreso, and from there catch the bus to Merida: Transportation is provided by Autoprogreso and operates several times an hour between 5 am and 10 pm, at a cost of 14 pesos one way, 25 pesos roundtrip out of the Progreso terminal (Calle 29 x 80 y 82, Tel. 969 935 3024).
